Cilantro

About

Usually sold in bunches, the leaves and stems are often used in highly spiced Asian, Latin American, and Caribbean dishes.

Choosing

Choose bunches with bright green leaves free of wilting.

Storage

Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for one week. It stores longest if the bunch is placed in a container of water, stems down. Cover with a plastic bag and change the water every few days.

Cooking

Cilantro is usually added at the end of cooking.

Nutrition

Cilantro has a fair amount of potassium.
