Cowboy Barbecued Ribs - 6 servings

  • 5 lb pork spareribs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh Nature's Nectar lemon juice, from concentrate
  • 1/4 cup dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Harvest granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Spice Club instant garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne

Preheat oven to 400°F. Place spareribs on broiler pan and cover with foil. Roast 1-1/2 hours. While spareribs are roasting, combine remaining ingredients and salt to taste in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Remove ribs from oven, remove foil and turn on broiler. Brush sauce on ribs. Broil 7-10 minutes on each side 5 in. from heat source. Serve ribs with additional sauce.
