Submit A Recipe Guidelines

The Guidelines below describe how you can participate by submitting, rating, and/or reviewing a recipe and the guidelines governing your participation. Please review and if you disagree with any of these terms or cannot follow these guidelines, do not participate. YOUR PARTICIPATION SHALL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE GUIDELINES.

Description: The "Submit a Recipe" feature ("Feature") is sponsored by ALDI ("Sponsor"). There are two (2) ways to participate: (i) recipe submission or (ii) rating a recipe ("Activity"/"Activities"). You can participate in any combination of Activities for participation.

How To Participate: Access the Web Site at www.ALDI.us or www.ALDImeals.com ("Web Site"). At the time of accessing the Web Site and participating in this Feature of the Web Site, you agree you are 13 years of age or older. Click on the "Submit Recipe" link and then log on using your User ID and Password. If you are not a registered member, you can create an account on the ALDI homepage for free by entering your first name, last name, zip code, email address, User ID and Password ("Registration Information") and clicking on the "Register" button. All Registration Information must be completed in full. Participants can only register and participate under one User ID and one email address. Once an email address has been registered by a participant, that email address and corresponding User ID cannot be used by any other person at the Web Site. Only the participant registered under a particular email address may participate. Once registered, click on the Activity you would like to participate in and follow the online instructions to complete that Activity.

Submit a Recipe: To submit a recipe, log onto the Web Site, enter your User ID and Password and follow the online instructions. There is no limit to the number of recipes you can submit. All recipes that meet the criteria described in items "a" - "h" below will be posted on the Web Site, at Sponsor's sole discretion.

  1. To submit a Photo of your recipe the Photo (a) must be your original creation; (b) cannot be copied in whole or in part from any other work; (c) does not violate or infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other proprietary right of any person or entity; (d) is your sole and exclusive property (if the Photo was taken by some other person, you warrant and represent that you have obtained all rights and permission from such person so that you own all right, title and interest in all aspects of the Photo; (e) does not contain the last name, phone number(s), address, email address, likeness, face or voice of any person, including the participant, and does not refer to any person including the participant.
  2. Recipes must be written in the English language.
  3. Recipes must not (a) contain or depict any objectionable, unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, vulgar, racially or ethnically-motivated, invasive of another's privacy, or any other objectionable material otherwise unfit for publication/posting/uploading, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion; or (b) violate or infringe any copyright, trademark, logos, privacy, publicity or other proprietary right of any person or entity.
  4. Recipes must not contain or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, "commercial pitch," promotional materials, junk mail, spam, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation.
  5. Recipes must not contain or transmit any materials that contain software viruses or other computer code, files or programs designed to impair, limit, interfere with or cause harm to any communications network operated by the Sponsor or the computers of any individual or entity participating in or otherwise associated with this Feature of the Web Site.
  6. Recipes must not contain any material that: (a) would give or threaten to give rise to criminal or civil liability; (b) encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offense; or (c) encourages or provides instructional information about illegal activities.
  7. Recipes must not contain the last name, phone number(s), address, or email address of any person, including the participant.
  8. Recipe submitted is wholly original, participant's own creation, and participant is the sole owner (or has secured all necessary rights relating to the use) of property or content appearing in the recipe and has not plagiarized or previously published the recipe.

Any attempted form of participation other than as described herein is void. Activities which are not reasonably pertinent to the guidelines outlined above, or are otherwise in violation of these Guidelines will not be posted to the Web Site. As determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, any Activity that includes obscenities, objectionable material, defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any third party's personal or proprietary rights will not be posted to the Web Site. No participation by group or organization.

Conditions for Participation: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend this Feature of the Web Site in the event of a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical or system failure or disruption, force majeure or any other causes which, in its sole opinion, corrupt the administration, security, integrity, or proper operation of this Feature of the Web Site. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS FEATURE OF THE WEB SITE IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Ownership of Recipes: Once submitted, recipes become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor has a nonexclusive license, in perpetuity, to recipes and any ideas, concepts, copyrighted material and trademarks contained in recipe and any and all rights to the recipe's content become the sole property of Sponsor and may be used by Sponsor without further notice or compensation to participant. Participant unconditionally assigns and transfers to Sponsor all rights, title, interest, and claim, which he or she now has, or may in the future have to his/her recipe and grants Sponsor and those acting under their authority the right to use the recipe throughout the universe, in whole or in part, in edited, unedited or distorted form, on and in connection with this Feature of the Web Site, for any trade advertising or promotional purposes whatsoever, without review, approval, notification or payment from or to any person or entity, including without limitation any company entitled to participant's exclusive services or any other rights with respect to participant's services, in all media now known or hereafter discovered throughout the universe. Participants who submit any recipes that are posted on the Web Site and/or used by the Sponsor for advertising purposes or any other manner as described therein will not receive compensation.

General Conditions: By participating in this Feature of the Web Site, participants agree to all of the following: to be bound by these Guidelines, as well as the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding in all respects. Once submitted, all Activities become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. The Activities and any additional information provided are and will remain the property of Sponsor. Any personal information supplied by participants to Sponsor or their affiliates or representatives will be subject to Sponsor's privacy policy. Except where prohibited by law and Sponsor's privacy policy: Activity and/or participant's (participant's parent/legal guardian, if winner is a minor) submission of an Activity constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use participant's Activities, name, address, city and state), photo, likeness, biographical information, statement and voice for advertising/publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media (including posting on the Web Site), in perpetuity, without further notice to or compensation in connections with said Feature of the Web Site. Sponsor has the right to modify, edit, adapt, electronically alter, use, assign and/or dispose of such Activities however it sees fit and for any purpose without any notice or compensation to participant or any third parties. Sponsor reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to remove and/or ban from the Web Site any Activity submitted by an individual they find to be tampering with the process or the operation of this Feature of the Web Site or any Web Site related to this Feature of the Web Site or to be acting in violation of these Guidelines. Please note that a high volume of Activity or technical difficulties with the computer systems, may result in temporary inability to participate in this Feature of the Web Site or a delay in the processing of the Activity such that the Activity may not be received in time to participate. Sponsor and Sponsor's representatives are not responsible or liable should any Activity not be received due to such delays. In case of a dispute over the identity of a participant who submitted an Activity, the owner of the email account associated with the Activity will be deemed the entrant, at Sponsor's sole discretion.

Disclaimers: By participating, participants release Sponsor of and from liability (including but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection with: participation in this Feature of the Web Site, human error, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of information, any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer online system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, internet service provider, interruption or inability to access this Feature of the Web Site or any Web Site or online service via the internet due to hardware or software compatibility problems, any damage to participant's (or any third person's) computer and/or its contents related to or resulting from any part of this Feature of the Web Site, any lost/delayed data transmissions, omissions, interruptions, defects or any other errors or malfunctions even if caused by the negligence of the Sponsor. Participants agree that Sponsor is not responsible for any allergic reaction from using a recipe on the Web Site, and participants should take personal responsibility for caring for proper precautions with respect to his or her allergies. Participants further agree to indemnify, release and hold harmless the Sponsor, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, any other entity involved in the development or administration of this Feature of the Web Site, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability of any kind arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of participation in this Feature of the Web Site and waive all rights to claim direct, indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages.
